![]() It was one of those mods that felt like they changed a lot of the core Diablo game, but in interesting ways that kept me engaged. ![]() Though I’ve tried multiple mods, I put the most time into Median XL. Some of them drastically changed the core game enough for it to seem like something entirely new, others made a few key quality of life changes that overall enhanced the experience. Over the years, I’ve spiced things up by trying various Diablo II mods such as Eastern Sun, Median XL and more recently, Path of Diablo. It’s a game that I re-visit frequently, and is still my go to when I want to dabble into the isometric Action-RPG genre. I'm obviously missing a lot of people but it seems like there are a lot of old timers still there and your view of Blizzard overall is likely skewed if you're mainly focused on Diablo.I could talk for hours about what Diablo II has done for me, starting as a young child and now carrying on into adulthood. and the Blizzard North guys who left prior to the merger (David Brevik, Bill Roper).Jay Wilson (Diablo 3 Game Director before Josh).Josh Mosquera (Diablo 3 Game Director from 2013).Rob Pardo (executive producer Diablo 3).Tom Chilton (joined 2004) is still there, was a game director for WOW now working on an unknown project.Īpart from Mike Morhaime and Chris Metzen, it's mostly people associated with Diablo that have left.Bob Fitch (joined 1992) is still there as a technical director.David Kim (joined 2007) is still there, is a lead system designer.Chris Sigaty (joined 1996) is still there, oversees Team 1 (RTS + MOBA games).Jeff Kaplan (joined 2002) is still there, oversees Overwatch.Allen Brack (joined 2005) is still there, was Executive Producer of WOW, now President.
